SKS Foundation established on 1 December 1987 as a non government organization. It started development work for the poor people though Socio-economic programs. SKS Foundation is the joint effort of a few local self-devoted young men and women, social workers from various academic disciplines. SKS Foundation implementing development interventions in proverty stricken northern part of Bangladesh in visioning – “a poverty free society where human rights and social justice be promoted, built local capacity, eliminated gender discrimination and reduce climate-change-vulnerability ” where social empowerment, Economic empowerment, quality basic services & environment are the programmatic sectors.
